Finally picked up a copy of DARK AND STORMY KNIGHTS over the weekend and read EVEN HAND, which so many had raved about. The Marcone POV was brilliant, but reading it felt like reading fanfic, even though Butcher's name was on the title page. If it had been online, I'd have been looking for a button to send feedback on how well the Marcone portrayal matched my own inner vision :-)

Once upon a time, when I was deep in my obsession with Farscape, I turned my hand to fanfic. I wrote three stories in a flurry of activity from October 2000 through February 2001. They were originally published on Sci-Fi's Farscape board under my userid Annigmatic, and then the final edited versions posted to my AOL website, and various other Farscape fanfic sites.

These days I'm a reader rather than writer, but since AOL killed off their websites, and many of the original Farscape sites are now defunct as well, I'm posting these on my blog for posterity's sake.

The stories are:

Return to Sender by Ann Harrington. Scorpius makes Crichton an offer he can't refuse. Written prior to the airing of "Liars, Guns & Money" series and "Die Me, Dichotomy." This was the winning entry submitted for Best Author, 2001 Farscape Fanfic Awards. Approx 24K words.

24 Hour Pass by Ann Harrington. John Crichton returns to Earth. This story won Best Overall Story, 2001 Farscape Fanfic awards. My personal favorite. Approx 15K words.

Bent by Ann Harrington. A short speculation on what might happen to Crichton after "Die Me, Dichotomy." Approx 2K words.
